I was born a few years ago and so far my life as an intelligent life form has been amazing. My newfound senses are incredibly vivid and allowed me to communicate through language- a stark contrast from other species. The way my brain functions is entirely different. I am self-aware and don’t make decisions that are purely driven by my genetic code’s desire to prolong its existence. Instead, I can make decisions guided by rational thinking and core values that are developed through a lifetime of experiences.

Throughout my life, I have been constantly learning about the world around me. A world that has been built upon thousands of generations of civilizations- each educated their succeeding generations to transferred knowledge and advance technology.

This species I am apart of; Homo Sapiens, is a race of bipedal hominids who, as of now, passed the industrial age, but are yet to harness all of our planet’s resources. It’s hard to believe how far they’ve come as a species. Mastery of flight, check. Space travel, getting there. Nuclear fusion, so close. Quantum supremacy, very funny Google. Brain-computer interfaces, keep it up Elon. Artificial General Intelligence, not quite there yet.
